Why we exist
Plain text is how people talk to AI. You write a prompt in text, and AI answers in text — most often in markdown. The rest of the software world hasn't quite caught up: formatting breaks when you paste, markdown shows up as noise, and AI answers that should go straight into a document need manual cleanup.
We build the tools that remove that friction, one problem at a time.
What you can expect from us
- Pay once for what runs on your computer. Desktop apps are a one-time purchase. We only charge recurring fees for online services that cost us something to run.
- Start right away. No account or sign-in to do something simple.
- No surprises. Limits are visible before you have invested your time. And if you have already paid, you should never feel cheated — when MarkdownWord 2.0 shipped, it was a free upgrade for existing customers.
- Your content is yours. Open formats. Nothing is locked into a container only we can read.
- Simple on the surface, powerful underneath — and yours to shape. There can be many features. They show up when you need them, not all at once — and you can tweak the tool to work exactly your way.
- Fast is a feature. Apps should start fast. A slow start or a large install needs a very good reason.

How it's made
Every markdownheaven product is built with AI. AI agents write most of the code. A human sets the direction, reviews the work and gives the final yes — and every release is tested for real before it reaches you.
We think that's worth being open about. It's also why the products can be small, focused and still well made.
